Aircraft maintenance engineers*

Description of Tasks

  • Plan, lead and supervise aircraft maintenance checks;
  • Identify and rectify problems and defects, analyse and interpret technical procedures, schematic engineering diagrams, manuals and publications; and
  • Issue Certificate of Release to Service to certify the maintenance tasks have been completed and aircraft is safe for flight.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor university degree; and
  • Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) issued by the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), or a valid AML issued by civil aviation authorities as prescribed in the relevant Hong Kong Airworthiness Requirements, and meeting the related licensing requirements for converting the above license to a Hong Kong AML.
